Microbiome Background
- Current research and development on certain diseases, disorders and conditions are still short of finding satisfactory treatment options for, among others, Alzheimer, Autism, Parkinson, Multiple Sclerosis
- In recent years, medical research worldwide has shown increasing interest in microbiome research and possible links to many diseases
- Relationships with many of these diseases and conditions through the Gut Brain axis have been detected
- Although the microbiome could be linked with some of these difficult diseases, a drug product based on the microbiome is still expected to be approved
Approach
- Develop an unique, innovative and proprietary microbiome metabolic profile Platform and Database
- Identify microbiome functional metabolic markers associated with specific diseases
- Use these markers as leads to develop innovative solutions specifically centered on microbiome to improve detection, prevention and treatment of health-related conditions and/or unmet needs of patients
- Create a microbiome research & development center to develop and operate the Microbiome Metabolic Platform and Database and to manage projects of the Foundation

Board of Foundation
The Board of Foundation consists of the 3 co-founders.
Charles has over 35 years of financing and banking experience with major banking institutions and played pioneering roles in multiple start-up situations in the fields of aviation, financing, NGOs, biology, and technology.
Having lived, studied, and worked in several cultural, linguistic, and business environments, Charles looks forward to the challenge to put his energy to help build new, innovative experiments, with the aim to explore non-conventional methods to detect and find possible solutions to unmet needs for patients.
Laurent has over 30 years of clinical, relief, and commercial supply chain experience within the humanitarian organization and biopharmaceutical industry.
Laurent wants to devote his life sciences supply chain experience to the Microbiome for Health Foundation and create a unique environment dedicated to the Microbiome development paradigm and for patient well-being.
Jean-Pierre has over 30 years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry in the Manufacturing, Development, and Quality of biotech products from early stage to market.
Jean-Pierre through his lifelong scientific practical experience wants to take this challenge of this innovative approach to explore the unknown functionalities of the microbiome to unleash potential opportunities to bring practical innovative therapeutic solutions and relief to patients suffering from unsatisfactorily treated conditions.
