Announcement of the creation of the Microbiome for Health Foundation
Tannay, June 14th, 2021: The three founding members of the Microbiome for Health Foundation – Jean-Pierre Fonta, Charles Yeterian, and Laurent Foetisch – are pleased to announce the creation of The Microbiome for Health Foundation with the goal to bring new hope to patients through innovative solutions based on microbiome discoveries.
The primary objective of the Microbiome for Health Foundation will be to develop diagnostic and treatment solutions to burdensome diseases and unmet medical needs endured by patients.
Jean-Pierre Fonta said, “We strongly believe that the microbiome functions offer promising innovative avenues for treatment to the increasing numbers of patients with unmet medical conditions, and in particular diseases thought to be influenced through the gut-brain axis”. Charles also added, “We are excited to pioneer the development of a ground-breaking approach and be the first to build a platform to identify microbiome metabolic markers associated with diseases”.
The Microbiome for Health Foundation will identify functional markers in human microbiome and will use these markers to develop novel solutions for the patients. Laurent also mentioned “We firmly believe our innovative approach is a game changer”.
